sorry for cutting off in the last post, pressed enter accidentally.
I know that ATB's need high humidity, an arboreal habitat, perches unlike GTP's and ETB's, temps: ambient@ low 70s, heated spot @ upper 70's to low 80s.
now my question is: I have a BRB (Brazilian Rainbow Boa) whose thermostat is set at 80. Would I be able to run the heat source (flexwatt) under the same thermostat? With the exception of BRB's getting ready to breed, BRB's don't need to be cooled down at night. Is this so with ATB's also? Or do they require different night temps and I would need another thermostat?
The setup I'm looking at for the future is for a baby. A 19qt tub made by Rubbermaid in a rack. it's found here. The substrate will be either newspaper or Eco-earth. a water bowl, some of those exo-terra bend-perches, fake plants hanging down from them, and a hide. tell me what you think about this.
and as i understand it, there are garden phase's which are normal, halloween phases, colored phases, and all those crazy ones Mike H. has.

My bad, wrong model of tub (or could that one be?)
the one i was looking into was the 2222 20qt, found here

ATB care is really simple. Newspaper substrate, perches that support 3 points of the body, and 50-60% humidity. I keep mine at room temp, between 78-80 degrees

i don't heat my room up too much, it stays at about 72 most of the time. and night temps don't change at all from day temps with ATB's?

Thanks, Matt
I keep all my Snakes at a constant temp. The ambient changes at night, but they still get heat 24/7.

Your numbers are off a bit. Amient should be upper 70's/low 80's. If you choose to use a basking site, mid-upper 80's basking site. You can just skip the basking thing and aim for 80-plus day time ambients, with night time ambients dropping to mid/upper 70's. The night time dop is not needed.
Various phases - there are gardens and coloreds (halloween is just a normal variant of garden) and each can have a variety of differnt pattern types or even total lack of pattern.
Morphs - there are Tigers (possibly Super Tigers soon), Leopards, and an Albino.
I never met an ATB I didn't like!

Thanks for the reply.
I was originally thinking to run a foot of 4in. flexwatt from the side of the Rubbermaid 2222 20qt. I still have some 11"wide, would i be able to just lay it on the bottom of the tub, the 11" being on the wide side of the tub and the 12 being the length? I plan to put it in a mini-sort of rack, the tub being covered on every side besides front and back by melamine. Then, the snake would be able to be on the bottom where it is hot and the top where it's a bit cooler.
Also forgot to mention, can Baby ATB's be sexed? I see a lot of baby ATB's for sale, not showing the gender. What point of their lives can they be sexed?

Thanks, Matt

It's not safe to "pop" them as you would with baby colubrids, and it's risky to probe them at too young of an age because of their tiny frail tails. Not only that, but because their tails are so small probing is not completely accurate at that size. It's best to wait about 8-12 months before probing.
