Basically she is a normal Colombian type Boa. Probably falling in the BCI category. A very pretty normal Boa.
Although she also might be described as somewhat of a Fine Line type Boa because of the thin saddles.
I love that thin saddle look.
Hope this helps

Looks to me like maybe a Colombian b.c.i. x B.c. amarali That's just my best guess though.

FYI, It's not a "Fine Line" Fine lines are a specific bloodline, with Peruvian like saddles.

You are completely right Amie a Fine Line Boa is a specific Blood line.
I did not explain what I meant properly I guess.
I said it might be described as a FineLine type meaning not from that bloodline but carrying the thin saddle look.
The True FineLine Boas have a completely different over all color & base color.
Almost like looking at a Newespaper colored Boa yet not Anery.

Looks like a normal BCI to me.

The high pink may be related to Coral Albino. I believe the "Coral" in coral albino has nothing to do with the actual albino gene. Much more likely it's related to other genetics and simply is more obvious on a albino animal.

A typical coral albino looks albino at birth and "coral's up" over time - the pink blush comes in as it grows. This sounds similar to what you've seen with yours.

I'm NOT suggesting yours is het for albino, I am saying it has great pink color which could be related to the "coral" in "coral albino"

thats cool she is het for albino but do u think that if i breed her to another het she will produce high pink albinos

rainbowsrus Nov 03, 2008 04:31 PM

I'd bet money on it, maybe not every baby would turn out high pink but some would be for sure (IMO)!!! Of course being bred to another het would likely yield only a handful of albino's (~ 1/4 of litter) and therefore lessen the chances.

what if i breed her to a albino

bigboa101 Nov 03, 2008 05:33 PM

also why did my boa darken up so much

rainbowsrus Nov 03, 2008 07:17 PM

Part of the normal phase color, they darken!! Probably has to do with camoflage and what works better for the size of boa. Little gray ones hide better as do large dark ones.

Twice as many albinos and twice as many chances for a pink one to color in, even better to use a pink albino....
