0.1 soon to be wifey (hopefully)
1.0 rotwiler/chow (Boomer-wifey's pooch)
1.0 norm corn (Jake aka grumpy old terdhead)
1.0 col redtail boa (Switch, formally known as Dixie)
0.1 ball python (Bella- wifey's baby girl)
0.1 Brazilian Rainbow Boa (Saphira)

hopeful for not to distant future:
--Brazilian rainbow boas

Steve,
..What it looks like to me is that the snake scratched the skin in the last week before it shed. This caused some drying along the edge of the old skin which caused the skin to stick to fresh skin underneath and pull away some when it shed. It should clear up after a few sheds.

I'd be a bit concerned about the wheezing. Can you take a look at his mouth? Pink or Red? Any mucous?

Ooops, I missed the part about wheezing. Could be a respiratory problem that caused the snake to do some rubbing. With a Bci with respiratory problems you almost cannot go wrong raising the cage temperature a few degrees. Look carefully at the nares to see if there is any dried skin or mucous there causing the wheezing.

Steve,
Yes, a RI will make a snake restless and it will rub head and neck. The other possibility is that the snake rubbed it's skin when it was soft before shedding and that caused it to dry out around the head and the breathing noise is caused by dry skin edges insides the nares.
