Guyana vs. columbian red tails

resims Nov 03, 2008 02:04 PM

I got a guyana a few weeks back and was wondering why guyana's are a bit pricey compared to a regular columbian. Is it because they get to be a larger size are they just harder to come by in the boa trade?Just a lil curious thats all, thanks

I think the fact that they do not breed as easily as BCI in
captivity probably has something to do with that...

A lot of them are imported and consequently have to be given
treatment for internal parasites, and not all of them pull
through which also probably affects their prices...

I got my guyana from a captive bred source so I guess that im lucky then.
