I shipped 27 baby snakes today. I was just checking the Fedex tracking website to see if they have flown out yet. I hate packing them up and thinking that I would like to keep all of them.

ohh poor you, what a hard life you living
you and dave must be on first name basis with the FedEx guys by now, during the midst of your selling season, it must seem like things are going out the door everyday. Seeing pics you posted of those peruvians though, looks like whatever goes out, is replaced by something else coming in

Yes, but imagine all of the smiling faces this morning!
You've got some beautiful snakes. I bet there are quite a few "keepers" that end up going elsewhere.

Impressive number!!! Tell me about wanting to keep them, I'm seeing a lot this year that I like, just no room at the "Inn" for them!!

I shipped out 31 on one day a few weeks back, not typical, seems like 5 - 10 on any given day is typical. That or a single shipment of one or two babies.

Dave,
...I was shipping several out every monday and tuesday up until two weeks ago. The demand for them seemed to drop off just as I was having more babies. I was trying harder to sell them to make room for the next litters but actually not selling many. I decided last week to make wholesale offers to good people I have dealt with in the past. Isometimes think about just wholesaling the majority of them and holding back a couple dozen each year to sell as yearlings.

Another thing I noticed and have seen in the past is that the lower I drop my prices the more emails I get but that most of the people emailing do not actually buy. People are funny.

Hmmmmm, interesting correlary.....
My highest priced ones practically flew off the shelves this year!!! I sort the litters by color/crescent/contrast with the top end at $200 and the bottom end at $125. This year with so many holdback parents breeding, the average baby was better looking so several litters were heavily skewed towards the higher prices.
Clearly this has been my best year ever, quality top notch babies, most I've ever produced in one year, Hypo's, BCI's etc.

Hey Jeff,
I was wondering if that QTY represented one/some wholesale deals. Would be a LOT at 1-4 / box typical retail customer type qty's.
I've noticed the same thing with mine, up until a few weeks ago I was putting several on hold each week. Lately that's slowed down a lot!!! Good news for me is I'm down to only a dozen left unsold and still great looking babies. I'll run out LONG before the summer show season.
