Advice on breeding 1 male/2 females

shedthegear Nov 03, 2008 09:16 PM

Anyone have any advice on how to breed 1 male boa to 2 females?

Throw them all in together or what?

Thanks.

Simply from my experience only.. best breeding results with Boa c. ssp. are acheived with a 1-to-1 ratio. Start early selecting potential pairs and maintain them in similar conditions (light, temperatures, feeding) during their developmental years.
.
If you have more females than males you may be able to stagger the ovulation cycle with feeding and so-on.. my recommendation s to keep it as close to 1.1 as possible.
.
Hope that helps..
