Pictures of Over/Underweight Cornsnakes

first_shed Nov 04, 2008 09:06 AM

I'm looking for pictures of Overweight and Underweight cornsnakes of good quality that clearly show what indicates the snakes weight is out of the norm.

My snake is is from the 07' hatchling batch so he's a little over a year old now. As far as I can tell he's a healthy but he is my first snake and I just want to make sure I know what to look for in regards to his weight. I don't have a good camera so I can't get any pictures of him right now. I feed him one medium mouse a week and after his last feeding I couldn't even see a lump on him.

Thanks for your help.

I think it would be easier if you posted a pic of your corn and then people can give their opinions as to if it's underweight.
Generally I feed snakes less than one year old every 5 days.
I also feed my snakes food items that are about the same width as the thickest part of the snake.
A one year old corn should be eating fuzzy or hopper mice.
