I love the intense orange, especially for his size. You may just have a screamer on your hands in another few sheds. Very nice!

Thanks guys...appreciate it.
...again, my reptile experience has mainly been with Monitor lizards, which "usually" have the most vivid coloration when babies, and fade with age.
Do I understand right that BRB's are pretty much the opposite?
Based on the pics, any way to tell what he'll look like as he grows/sheds?
Thanks!

Their neonate colors are a hint of how much potential they have as an adult. With that much red already, it can only (IMO) get MUCH nicer, I would have probably kept that one if I where the breeder.

Well...I feel like a dummy!
I thought he had shed...he was really hazy for a couple of days, then, the next time I got him out, he was bright again.
...then last night, I noticed him moving around a lot, checked him out and he was in full-shed, rubbing against everything to shed.
HHmmmm?
I'll post a couple of more pics tonight.

rainbowsrus Nov 06, 2008 11:02 AM

There is one pretty reliable sign of shedding, a shed skin left in the cage!!!

LOL, yeah they will turn all dull and opaque then go back to a more normal looking appearance. Then they shed and WOW!!!!

Looking forward to the "real" just shed pics!!!!

I have no clue Jeff...I spend part of my year in AZ, and that's where I got it, I do know it's in either the Cactus or Succulent family, you got my OCD going, though, so I guarantee I'll figure it out soon and post back! lol

Looks like some sort of aloe to me - not sure of the exact species, but that's where I'd start looking if I was going to obsess over it.
