nyc_reptiles Nov 04, 2008 07:22 PM

hey everyone, just hope'n someone could help me, i started breeding lobsters for my dragons about 7 months ago and i was recently cleaning out my lobster roach bin and notice a few lil worm that resemble super worms and tiny beetles, does anyone know what these guys are and if they are a danger to my roach colony?

The tiny beetles are what the worms turn into... It sounds like they are just some mealworms that accidently were mixed in with the roaches by the people yoou got the roaches from. I wouldn't worry about it, I don't think they will hurt the roaches.

I know what you are talking about, I also have these in my lateralis and dubia colony. I don't think they are mealworms. The guy who sold me the roaches said he let them there because they are usefull (they kind of clean up the tank). It's the same kind of worms/beetles that are often found when ordering a box of crickets. Anyways, if they are not really usefull, at least they are no danger.

hope that helps,
