Thanking of getting a grey-banded king. Dose any know a good breeder in Tucson, Az.

I have.
1 bull sanke
2 cal kings
1 long-nose
2 black rat-snakes

If you are willing to pay shipping (usually $50 or so for overnight shipping) the weather right now is about as good as it will ever be for that.

Some breeders will not ship if it is below freezing or very hot due to the stress and risk to the animals.

Contact folks on that breeders page and look at their web pages and look at their pictures. Ask lots of questions about anything you have your eye on.

My only other advice for a first timer is to make sure the animal you buy is eating something you can feed it. Many alterna start out on lizards or lizard scented pinks etc (and proper lizard species is important)... In other words do not get the animal expecting to solve that afterwords, plan ahead.. If you do not have the prefered food item they can seem like a real pain in the ___. Any healthy animal is easy to care for if you are properly prepaired ahead of time
