went to petsmart to get some stuff for my gecko's and they were throwing these away,i got both of them except the stands as they where to big to fit into my door ways but will end up making a stand for them.....

I once got a free aquarium from petco. Never did use it though.

I find a lot of stuff in the trash here at my air force base. People move from base to base and a lot of times, they either have very cheap yard sales or they just throw out things.
Here are some stuff I have gotten:
1. two fifty gallon tanks. One had a stand. The other one had a broken glass (but okay for vivarium for snakes).
2. some tables and chairs.
3. a dining room table.
My whole house is furnished with free stuff: sofas, and such.

Yard sales:
I have bought the following for cheap:
1. 15 gallon tank for $2.
2. 10 gallon tank for $2 with a lid and heat pad (they had a boa)
3. 5 gallon tank for $1.50.
Going for the trash is a great way to keep the earth clean and also keeping the cost of the hobbies down.
