From personal experiences, how old did your leo get before he/she passed on?
I read 25 years somewhere? How accurate is that or am I way off?

The longest lived in captivity reached 27 years old, so 25 years is capable, but not common. I'd say on average of 17 to 21 years old. The range normally in books says 15 to 25, but given you provide proper care to your leo, he/she will easily see the big 15.
