Showing off my new little girl

snake_girl85 Nov 07, 2008 03:22 PM

Had this girl for about a month, figured I'd show her off. I'm pretty excited, since all of my other animals always turn out to be male, lol. I've got an adult male waiting patiently, hoping to try my hand at breeding them in a few years

Here she is, flash washed her colors out a bit

She's got a wide variety of cresents, bullseyes, blotches etc... but this is by far my favorite...

Anyone else see the koala?

I have a tendency to see things in my snake's patterns... Our blood's got a sword on his head, so his name is Porthos

Anyone else see pictures in their rainbows?

Here's my male...

I see the Koala, but honestly, first thought before I read your words was Ram, like the Dodge ram symbol.

I see lots of things in mine, several are named after patterns like....

Daisey - rubber duck shape on second dorsal...

Crystal - her first dorsal patterns are two joined, smaller/bigger circles, reminds me of a snowman. Since she's a she, frosty's girlfriend...

Hook - has a clear hook pattern on one side, I always notice it..

lon (Chaney) man of a thousand faces. I see many side patterns that look like old time negative images of people like Albert Einstein.....

Can you see the elephant head on Savannah? (Upside down in this pic)

How about the elephant head on Dumbo??

As far as patterns - I named my first BRB Minnie - as she has mickey mouse ears in her dorsal markings. I since figured out that is very common, but I still named my first male Mickey as he too has the ears.

So if you ever get more snakes with swords on their heads, will they be named Athos, Aramis, and d'Artagnan to keep the theme, and can we get a pic of the sword in question?
