This is my favourite Pucallpa, Peru boa, a female born here in 2002. Photos are from outside the boa room this afternoon..

.
.. she goes back in when we're done too!

.
What a beautiful big girl! I don't think she is near to being finished growing.

Thanks for looking.

Oh my goodness Gus she is my favorite as well! I have her as my screen saver from a photo taken back in 06. I have it for insperation and something to remind me what I want to achieve.

She is even more incredible now!!! and 10 feet to boot.

What male/males do you have in mind for her?

Isn't that the same animal you have listed in your photogallery?

Thanks for sharing that gem!
Joel

That is a gorgeous Boa! I wish my big female Peruvian was trained to go in and out like that! LOL Every time I open her cage she tries to show me some affection by wanting to eat me!

I'll bet you can handle whatever a boa comes at you with.. but in fact I have a collection of large Peru boas, they all go back home on command (I have pictures to prove it)..
.
That particular snake went through the "I'm a Peru redtail, leave me alone stage", but was never really serious about it. We get along great and I've never been tagged by her or had her seriously try to bite.. I keep my eye on her though.
.
Hey.. you had a really great season.. congratulations. Hard work does pay!
.
Best to you and yours.

That is one of the best looking boas Ive every seen! How much does she weigh?

riobravoreptiles Nov 07, 2008 05:16 PM

>>That is one of the best looking boas Ive every seen! How much does she weigh?

Thank you! I agree..
.
She weighs exactly what a Peru boa of her age and reproductive history should weigh..
.
In other words, I like her proportions .. but I have never weighed her!
.
Thanks!

I don't have boas I don't breed or grow to breed. But I could have just ONE of those as a pet, never breed it, just show it to people who want to see a perfect boa! That glow she has is as nice as any morph in my opinion. NICE, Dan

This one is no exception. What can I say, that is one awsome animal. Thanks for the great post.

That is the gal you posted a pic of a little while back while she was in her cage... I remember drooling then, my god she's gorgeous! Those pictures make me even more envious! She is amazing, and for a boa that size, not even an ounce overweight! Kudos for great boa care and beautiful animals.... both of which you are well-known for I might add.
What I wouldn't do for that animal... *sigh*
