brumating garters

cochran Nov 08, 2008 06:33 PM

I have a walk in closet off from my reptile room that I use to brumate corn snakes. The temps. get as low as 52 at times but on the average it's probably around 60 degrees. Is that cool enough for garters?I'm planning to put my wanderings and red spotteds in there this season.I don't start brumation till the week of Christmas because, here in central Va. it usually doesn't stay consistently cold enough till then.Any thoughts? Thanks! Jeff
