It is not a lav. motley. It is black and silver.

My bad, I guess you have proved it out in breeding trials then against a charcoal and a lavender ..

From what I could see on a couple of moniters I use, it looked a lot like lavenders I have seen.. *shrugs*

This is a lavender motley.

The one pictured on this thread is definitly an anery, but hard to say whether it is aneryA or B for sure just by looking. I'm kind of inclined towards aneryB because of the lack of yellow but can't tell for sure from a pic.

jeff risher Nov 13, 2008 06:04 PM

There is no yellow at all on her. She is a little over 2 years old now.
Thanks,
Jeff

To bad my link I provided was deleted.. *shrugs* However, Jeff Mohr produced some this year ( the link that was deleted pointed to the pictures of his mots ).. Contact Jeff, he should be able to show you pictures of charcoal motleys..

Lavenders have no yellow as well, unless of course you ad Anery A into the mix.. Then the yellow appears..

A nice exmaple of an anery lavender motley..

If the parents are het lav motley then how can it be a charcoal? Looks like a lot of other lav mots I've seen. Most lavs are mocha, grey or purple and can easily be confused with anery or even ghost.

jeff risher Nov 11, 2008 05:12 PM

The guy i got the parents from told me he screwed up and that they were more than just het lav. and said they could through a charcoal. Thats why i was asking. I have lav motleys, lav, hypo lavs, and patternless lavs and this one does not look like any of them or any ones i have seen. The parents produced another one this year that looks to be a charcoal but not motley. If someone has a charcoal motley please post picks.
Thanks,
Jeff

Not motley, but it is a charcoal (aneryB).

I threw this up on a post in this thread earlier for comparison but here's a couple of lavender mot shots just to further compare to the snake this thread is about. These are 3 different individual lavender mots.
