broken ribs?

I have had my red tailed boa for over a year now he is 1 1/2 yrs. old. Recently I had him out sitting on my bed. I went to adjust myself and didnt realize where he was and put some weight on him. He didn't react at all when I did this but I checked him out anyway for any damage. I saw nothing until about 20 minutes later I noticed a small bump on his spine. He appears to be in no pain and is moving normally, however the bump does seem significant. When I feel the bump it is more of a fleshy feeling like a bruise and the spine seems to be intact but I have never had anything like this happen so I am a little worried. There really isn't any snake vets in my area so I was hoping this would be no big deal or a self healer. Please help me out.

Are you sure the bump was not there before this incident?

In any case, I wouldn't worry. If the boa is otherwise normal acting, then the injury (if that is what the bump is) is not of much concern.
