Very cool aberrant pattern, more like a spotted/splotched than the "Inca" pattern you see on some Andeans. Who produced him?

A very small breeder in So Cal... Maybe does a clutch or two a year..

Nice looking andesiana. Do you plan on breeding him? Several members of the forum work with exceptional colonies of that subspecies and I'm sure you could pair him up with a nice female.

Of course I want to get a project going with this guy... Andeans don't seem overly popular, but if something unique pops up with them I can't see why some intrest might not be stirred.. I am considering going to get a half sibbling to this fellow..

He is very cool looking. Why wouldn't you just get a full sibling and line breed for that look or maybe even a more aberrant look?

Because a full sibbling does not exist this year.. All the parents in this group are full sibblings.. Thus all the offspring are half sibblings full cousins..

I am definantly going to get a female from the breeder of my guy.. Hopefully the breeder will let me snag a few pictures as the father is a very, very intresting specimin.. Apparently, the females that he had in his clutch this year are the typical looking Andeans, some with a little bit of tangerine colouration..

Resistance was futile.. I got the girl today.. However she is not nearly as abbreant as her older half brother/cousin..... Pretty well looks like a normal tri band..

Thanks for the compliments, Jeff. Those "engorged hemipenes" lying about are the male cones (reproductive parts) of pine trees (genus Pinus).
