very interesting question...pease help.

ok so my friend brought up a very interesting question that hurts my brain....ok so in lucys like a super lesser breeding to a normal would be 100% lessers, I know that part. ok now for the question...with combos...say a lemonblast for example, breeding that to a normal will yield pins, pastels, normals, and more lemonblasts because it is two different genes..now if you were to breed a lucy that was say a butter/lesser lucy would you reproduce lucys because its a combo or just butters and lessers? I'm sorry if the question is worded funny but its the best I got right now... please help anyone with experience or anyone who this irks also.

Quick of the top of my head I would say you would end up with 25% normal, 25% lesser, 25% butter, and 25% Butter/lesser lucy. That is just following the punnet square for a double codom.

Those odds would be accurate for alot of combined mutations out there(bees,blasts,etc)..However,nobody has reproduced a lucy from lucy to normal pairings.

Ok if He said a Butter/Lesser "Lucy" to a Lesser.. He would get LesserBEL and butters

If bred to a normal You would get a 50/50 around that, lessers and Butters. With no Super BEL.

Sorry Van, minor correction. Butter/lesser BEL X lesser = butter lesser BELs, super lesser BELs, butters & lessers. Don't know if you could tell the difference between the BELs though.....

i would think that it would only produce lessers and butters. for instance, if you bred a super pastel to a normal, you wouldn't get any supers, it would just be pastels. think of super forms as a recessive gene.the co-dom is a visual het to the super form, therefore you need two animals that carry the gene. a super to a normal would just produce visual hets.

see thats what I thought, but that would mean butters and lessers are the exact same morphs. the question was since its a combo lucy would it reproduce itself like a punnet square says it should. I've never tried so I was just wondering experience and opinion. but as far as the whole super pastel thing goes, that would mean they are the same morph.
