TEMP in my Boa cage

glitterlust May 24, 2003 02:53 AM

OK i have my tank set up outside in the barn, and if some of you missed my post about a week ago, it wasn't something that was my choise.. It was a forced issue.. so anyway we have a thermostat set up and stuff. And it usally gets about 90 during the day around here, and i've been checking the tanks temps alot and the warmer side stays around 88, and the cooler side stays around 79-81.. My heat sorces are undertank heater, and lamp..

Is this about normal temps??

That sounds pretty good to me.

Some might recommend 90 in the warm end, but I'd be too concerned that the cool end temp would increase as well.

Observe your boa for a while. If it is always on one end then you could tweak the temps accordingly. But for now, I'd say everything is fine.

PS: Check the humidity once in a while, too.
