songwriter Nov 12, 2008 03:42 PM

I took a quick look at the bookstore above.
Any particular recommendations for care, breeding, habitat & identification?
Thanks,
-Jim

Hands down no contest ''Ball Pythons'' by Dave and Tracy Barker, nothing comparable out there, covers ball pythons A to Z and then some...

Dave & Tracy's book is the Ball Python "Bible."

Kevin McCurley's Book is good too.

You have the Old and New Testiments there. The Tracey's book complements NERD's book. Both books are excellent, but both together will give the most complete picture of the Ball Python Religeon.
buy BOTH!!!

True, a classic book. The Barkers book is so good I had to purchase two copies.

The VPI book is really good. I have some friends that have that one. The NERD book is the one I bought. "The Complete Ball Python" by Kevin McCurley is very good. You can't go wrong either way with either book.

There is a really condensed version of Kevin McCurley's book as well out there. I went with the bigger book, but as far as I understand the smaller has pretty much all the same info, just not as many sweet pictures. (It's alot cheaper too!) Hope that helps.
