How "long and deep" is a 10-gallon cage?

Gunilla Sep 08, 2003 02:26 AM

In USA you measure tanks in gallons… in Sweden we don’t talk about the *volume* - we talk about “length and depth” of a cage. So… please help me out here (I am not good at mathematics!) How long and how deep is a 10-gallon cage?
And a 20 gallon tank...?

Definetly not big enough for those 3 so don't worry but to give you an idea a 20 gallon is about 30 inches wide, 1 ft. deep, 1 ft. tall. You might want to consider building building if you plan to house those 3 dragons.

No-no-no! I won't keep the dragons in that cage - I wonder if it will be enough for a helmeted gecko hatchling! My adult dragons has their own *big* cages - don't worry!

Thanks for telling me the lenghts... but how much is that in inches..?

20 inches long, 1 foot deep. I want to say that I talked to a helmeted gecko breeder who said a 10 gallon was fine for a pair, but it might have been a different kind of gecko. All I remember is that they were from the desert and incredi-cute.

The 10 gallon tank I have here for crickets is 10 inches deep, 20 inches long, and 11.5 inches high. Double any one of those dimensions for a 20 gallon tank.

It's difficult with all the different temperatures (Fahrenheit/Celsius) and measurements (gallons/centimeters) - very confusing for me as a Swede!
