My new Hog Island Boa! *PICTURE HEAVY!!

toofdocta Nov 13, 2008 06:43 PM

There isn't too many zoomed-in, good quality pics of Hogs out there, so I decided to do that. Enjoy.

This boy is 6 months old and 3 feet long. to get an idea of his actual size:

.

note how his color changes... in morning, he's darker, at night, he's super light colored. You can tell mostly in his head (notice the dark stop in front of his eyes... it's almost entirely invisible at night)

Beautiful hog boy. If you don't mind my asking, what specific camera do you use? I'm using a mid-level camera and just don't seem to be able to get those good pinks and blues to show through in my pictures of my hog girl. Also are you only using just natural light and no flash? That's what it looks like and that may be part of my problem.

Canon XTi SLR camera with Sigma 18-300 macro lens and custom white balance. Tripod helps with stabilization because I was zoomed in close to the 300.
