I know an Okeetee is a locale look, but how does this one rate on a scale of 1 to 10?

It's hard to say. Colors can change a lot with lighting. That said it is very nice. Black rings are large which I like. Back ground color is a nice color to contrast the saddles.
Very very nice. I would think a better phot would do it well.
I'd say a 7. I'm a pretty tough grader if you give me a scale like that. But if i had a change at getting it I would not pass!. that tells more than a scale lol
Congrats

You know I was hoping this guy was het for something, but all that I have proved him out for is charcoal. Here is one on his daughters.

That's a nice charcoal - IMHO charcoal is more attractive than AneryA.

I don't care for the 1 to 10 scale.
There are too many different looks and variables to tie it down in such a way.
What I may think of as a 9 Tim, Jeff or Kin my think is a 4 or what they may think of as a 9, I may think a 4.
But what I will say is I think you have a very nice example of an okeetee and I would be very pleased if it was in my collection.

i agree 100% i didnt want to put my thoughts on 1-10 for the snake... b/c if i thought it was a 5 for example, someone would think it is a 9 others maybe a 3? Each person has a certain look that they like for corns and okeetees. Why else would there be a Love line okeetee and an Abbotts Line okeetee that look completely different from one another? Its probably the same reason each human looks different. 1 person You could think is butt ugly but to another person they would be the most beautiful person in the world. For example. Brad Pitt... i find him FUGLY. And his lil girlfriend or whatever she is. but thats just my opinion. just a few weeks ago a magazine said they were the most beautiful couple in the world... maybe to some people...

I agree with what Jimmy and Kin said! I think it's a very nice okeetee but,I'm not going to grade it,the main thing is,are you happy with him? Jeff
It's all a matter of opinion!!!! And my opinion is that Jeff's stock should stand at the top, or past the top of any scale!!!!! I like your Okeetee but Jeff's is my favorite!!!! As for the normal pictured, it's nice, but I don't particularly get excited by normals. That's just my opinion and my $.02 for the day!!!

That's not that different from my little brothers "Okeetee" - his has a little more orange base color but his black borders aren't quite as thick as yours.
Then again - lighting is tricky, yours may be just as orange.
If yours is not locality, then I would probably call it an okeetee look influenced normal.
In my book - all okeetee locale are okeetee by definition, though not all have the okeetee look that was made famous.
Not locality specimens - the market calls them okeetee if they have a specific look, I think that one is close to the specific look - but the borders may not be quite thick enough.
But then again - I've only been into corns for a few years, and my Okeetee's are Abbott bloodline, so I am probably not a fair judge.
Here's my little brothers Okeetee that I consider to be a normal:

It was bought from EBV table at Sac Show.
It may be locality but wasn't labeled as such. It certainly has an okeetee look influence, but I'm not sure it's borders are quite thick enough to be called okeetee if it isn't locality.

I was thinking that mine has more of the Abott look, but than again as was mentioned, it may just be a Okeetee normal. I didn't think this topic would get so much attention.
