soak the snake in warm water and increase humidity in his cage. do this by placing the water dish over the heat pad. Also leave a damp sponge inside of a plastic hide box (cream cheese cup with a hole cut in the lid). While he soaks, GENTLY rub the unshed skin with your finger and see if it rolls back. If it starts to stick, do NOT pull.

The added moisture should help to loosen the skin. Also, make sure there is something to catch the skin on inside the cage, like a rock or branch.

you need to give us a thorough description of your set up for us to give you an educated guess as to the problem.
First guess is low humidity, obviously, but it could be something else.
If you are using a screen top, try covering 50 to 75 percent of it. Place a larger water bowl in the enclosure. Make sure it is large enough for the snake.
You could even place the water bowl so that half is over the UTH and half isn't.
But, the only real way we can help is with a full description of the enclosure.

The above suggestions are great...and for future sheds, if you use a humid hide (a plastic container with a sponge or damp paper towels, moss etc)then your corn will likely have no more shedding problems.

I use humid hides will all my snakes (i keep them in the tanks all the time, and make sure they are nice and moist when the snakes are getting ready to shed) and havent had an incomplete shed in years.
