I have bred boas on both and I have to say I prefer aspen and I think that the boas prefer aspen. Aspen is easier to spot clean than paper, you really can't spot clean paper and usually in the beginning stages of courtship lots of urates get spread around the cage. Females also seem too be more content on aspen it gives them something to grip on too! Does anyone else notice when you put an animal back in a clean paper cage how they always seem to brace out like they are on ice!!! They don't do that on aspen. They just go on their marry way and say give me a rabbito in about half an hour! It's Aspen for me as far as breeding goes!

I think Lesner will rock Couture! Lesnar is one of those guys that just seems like he is mad all the time! Kinda reminds me of myself!! JUST KIDDING!!!!

Can't wait to see what this season holds for us in the BOA WORLD!

I think aspen is better in general for boas. They feel more secure on that substrate. Paper is unnaturally smooth so they dont feel as comfortable on it and are less likely going to want to move around in their cage.
