New Cage for my Carpet...

athos_76 Sep 08, 2003 06:26 AM

I'm going to build a new cage for my Carpet which is just shy of 7 ft. I was wondering what the ideal size cage is for her. Right now she is in a 3'x2'x2' cage and I know she needs a new one. I have the design drawn for a 6'x4'x3' and a 5'x3'x3'. I just wanted to know what the forum thinks...
Also, anyone used the flex heat rope yet? I really like the idea of it.

I house my 7ft adults in a 6'x3'x2'. I like it because it gives them room to roam and allows me to include a few branches. The Width and Height of a cage are really up to you and what you plan to do for asthetics. But the important measurment is the Lenth(unless your doing an aborial setup. Then its height of course). Its not good to keep a snake in a cage that doesn't allow them to stretch at least half their body lenth, and the more lenth you can afford the better. I'd say go for 6' if you have the room, but 5' will work if it fits the space you have available.

Hope this helps,
Darci
