These are some babies from an extremely light female to a normal male. The female has yellow sides that creep all the way up to her back. Some of these babies exibit the same color, some are a mix of both the parents, and some are normals. Not sure what's going on here??? Hopefuly I'll know this season.

Nice looking babies! It will be interesting to see how they develop.

is there any possibility that there are some brongersmai genes in this bloodline. A few of those young are showing traits indicating that it could be a possibility. Just my thoughts on it and I could be wrong.

Hi Kelly,
This animal is from a very reputable importer. He said it was from Borneo. It was sold as a "Wierd" colored "male". I aquired it at about 2'in 2003. I have been trying to breed it to a bunch of females to no avail. So, I put it with a male to see if I could get some breeding response that way, and they locked up,lol. So "he" is actualy a she.
She has the small subocular scales between the labial scale and the eye?? All of my Borneos have this, and my reds have the labial touching the bottom of the eye. Here are some pics. All opinions are welcome!!

that is truly a beautiful animal. I can see why a few of the young appear to have hints of brongersmai in them. Due to their obvious genetic similarity, a very few rare borneos seem to sometimes show traits of reds on occasion. The head on this female really reminds me of the head shape seen in most reds. I really like her color and pattern. Thanks again,

Kelly
