I really like Clowns, definatly in my top 5 morph favorites. I also like what the Mojave does, sometimes it is predictable (Sulfur Mojave) and sometimes it gives you something you could not have imagined (Mojave Spider).

I think your breeding will eventually produce a 1 or a 10. It is either going to be really, really a nice cross, or a bust. I applaud you for trying...and wish you the best.

Wouldn't call it a bust David , it all depends on what ingredients you have to breed back into a Mojave Het Clown I think... Granted for alot of people it wouldn't gain them much , but for some with something like say a Pastel Het Clown to breed back into things it can make a spectrum of weird things.. All depends on what ya got.. I think things like this need to be done , it's the only way to take it to the next level, especially since part of it is recessive, meaning it will take some time , why wait. Anthony McCain..

Anthony, you don't have to call it a bust, because it has not been produced yet, and we don't know how it will turn out. I used the term to describe a breeding that produces an unattractive combo. I guess we shall see.

I guess my point was no matter how cool the Mojave Clown is it will be a stepping stone into other combos, without the base Mojave Clown you CAN'T get to the next level, that was what I was trying to point out.. ALOT of these base crosses may not do much for the eye initially BUT without them you can't go much further.. Like the fact that you have to make a Pastel Het Genetic Stripe to get to the Pastel Genetic Stripe and once you get the Pastel Genetic Stripe made it's ALOT easier to make a Super Pastel G Stripe, etc, etc.. So regardless of if the base cross is a 1 or 10 in looks on it's own, the REAL power of what you can do with it comes in when you take it to the next level(s) ,that's what really what matters in the end! Anthony, I was talking about the Mojave Clown, and its appearance. I think it will either be very cool looking like the Mojave Spider, or not all that great like the Pastel Mojave. Nothing more, nothing less. If you are talking stepping stones, and breedings that may happen down the road, then you and I are talking about different things.

Not really your bad Anthony. I do not like the way the Pastel Mojave looks, but, I can see how it would be a nice animal to have, based on what it can produce. You seem to feel no matter how the Mojave Clown turns out, it will not be a "bust" based on what it could produce down the line. I can see that...

I thing Your going to be making some very nice baby Clowns in the Future. The Mojave gene seems to clean things up a bit and brighting them at the same time.... And with How Clowns lighten up with age, Its going to be a Great pick of mates. Will see huh Brian, thats the great thing of it all.... Kudus to You I can't wait to see one!!!! I have a male Bee on one of my Mojo gals and a Lemonblast on the other.. I cant wait to see them and I even kind of know what they are going to look like,the bomb for sure "~
