I have him in an AP T25 which is 72x30x18 It has a radiant heat pannel on one end and belly heat on the other all ran by a Herpstat Pro, 3 hides, one on each side of the cage and one in the middle, and of course water with a florescent light installed

Thanks
Zack

You have a heat panel on one side and belly heat on the other. What is the belly heat set at, and the heat panel. The reason I ask, is this is similar to what I had and was advised it was not a good idea since the heat gradient did not change.

to give him the option and make sure that he always has a spot to sit in since in a 6' cage radiant heat and taper rather fast, the belly heat is set at about 82 in the day and 78 at night, I feel it give him more an option on what temps he wants.
everyone has their opinions and theories, that is mine and my snakes seem to enjoy it and seem very healthy, also it helps a lot with my anaconda I'll put his water on top of the belly heat so the water isn't too cold to absorb all the heat from him when he feels like soaking

Thanks

Sounds good, I think I am going to try that approach in my cages. They are in the basement and well I have the heat panel on one side set at 86, floor temp gets to about 92, and then goes down from there. I use to have that heat panel and then use to have 2 50 watt bulbs going, I think that may have been to hot for him.

Thank you
