Not what I thought it would look like. Thought it would be better. Hope the others get produced are better (less white).

Not that is ugly, but I prefer a bel to this.

Kinda weird that all piebald had colour and pattern on their head (even the spider piebald and all the other combos produced with it soo far) while this ones doesn't.

It almost look like a fire paradox.

Thank for sharing !

Too late, lost interest a few months ago, and now that I see the pics, yawn.

It is ok, not worth nearly all the hype and then no show picture posts. I think a high black one will look better than a high white one.

If this is a pied eightball (SBP) then why is there no head pigment? Very strange indeed since to date all pieds have head pattern/color. I am glad I opted for axanthic pieds for my project and not this one. Looks like a snow with a black patch. Not a bad looking snake just not a WOW morph in my humble opinion.

Congrats Man!!!!!!! That thing is sweet. I love all pieds and that is one I would definately put on my future breeding list. I would love to have a high white one like yours and a low white one and breed them together. They may all come out with black heads so I would definately keep that one with the white head just in case you got lucky on the first one. Good luck with it! THANKS, BOB

That is a stunning animal!
It's amazing how folks have become so jaded with all of the new morphs being produced, that they can not appreciate such a stunning animal. In addition, they can not appreciate all of the hard work that goes into producing such an animal.

Thank you again for sharing this pic, and congrats again to Ian on another amazing creation.

Sincerely,
Gary Schiavino

A lot of the reaction stems from the fact that he's been talking up this animal for MONTHS without posting a pic. I understand that some people like to keep things under wraps before unleashing it on the public, but if you're gonna wave a new morph under everyone's face without a pic, it better be something truly astounding.

I personally think it's a very nice animal. A pure black and pure white snake? I'm in. But was it worth the hype and suspense? I don't know...

xXVanXx Nov 17, 2008 11:36 PM

It is Awesome though, and if it had alittle more black here and alittle there wowowowow. It just high white is all ,next round it will have more black i bet. I heard alot about it so I kind of knew it was hight white, all the same. I don't have one.!!!

I do understand all the hard work it's take to get there. It's nearly as hard as any double recessive gene. It's take years to come to this.

But I am just not a fan of that designer morph. I think a lot of other combination are worth more than this.

But without trying, you get nowhere.

I don't know if it's a male or female, but what so ever. You can make a lot of stuff with them. Black Pastel Piebald is one of them (better than then this one imo). So it's not a "useless" morph, just not worth all the hype and the effort to produce one myself.

I think its an awesome animal, I love the black blotches, I love the white head. Sure more black would look cooler, but I certainly would not stick this one in the freezer if it popped out of one of my eggs!

ziggenz67 Nov 18, 2008 07:00 AM

Just wanted to add there is also another pied combo out there with a white head, RDR's lesser pied is a completely white snake.

ziggenz67 Nov 18, 2008 07:08 AM

I think this combo is great, though I personally would like to see more black. Anyway still a great combo.

ohernz Nov 18, 2008 03:26 PM

Very odd that this combination would produce a pied with no pattern(or color) on the head, whan all the previous ones ALWAYS had a patterned or colored head...anyway, if this is a SBPP, doesn't look as hot as i had imagined...i would rather see a low white one. i guess we eill have to wait and see other examples.

ohernz Nov 18, 2008 03:33 PM

i stand corrected, the leese pied also has a white head, as it is a pure white snake

spider916 Nov 18, 2008 06:20 PM

What were the parents? Was either one a pied? The white head is not right. It looks like a leucistic with a splotch on it.

I like how everyone is down on this snake for having to much white not enough black. As if this will ever be the only one ever produced. No it the first and that is why this animal is fascinating.

Its his animal he can dangle the idea in your face as long as he wants and never show you pics. Talk bad about him not the animal.

Sweet snake!

ohernz Nov 22, 2008 01:26 PM

looking again at that SBPP pic, i noticed that the tip of the tail seems to be black also...
