the first thing i did this mourning was strip the room down and had no luck with that.
second thing i did was duct tape doors shut so whatever room he is in he wont be able to leave it
third i sprinkled flour all over the place (snakeroom, den, kitchen, hallway, bathrooms etc..)
i then turned the heater off so the house will drop to about 65
and i set up 4 hot areas in the house
2 in the snakeroom and two in the den
the hot areas consist of either a heatlamp attached to a chair(about 1 1/2 foot from the tile floor) or a uth attached to a tile, a couple hides 1 directly at heat source 2 a little further away, a water bowl and a f/t mouse, and a libreral amount of flour on the ground to see traces of tracks.

when i get off work i'll check everthing out
any other advice would be appriciated

i had the same thing happen with a 4 year old mole king,

i have cats and one of them had a (bad) habit of warming her ass on the top of the kings tank, well i guess one day she jumped off the tank (probably from my spray bottle) and the lid partially slid open and i didn't notice it.

well two days go by and i think nothing of it, then out of nowhere both the cats keep darting in and out of that room and being really strange, so i get mad and get up to go yell at them.

I walk into the room and they are both screwing around by a tv stand thats pushed up in a corner, batting under it and such.

so i go over to where they're at and look under the tv stand and there is my mole king, cold as hell, freaked out and covered in dust bunnies.

So i dig her out from the tv stand, put her back in her tank, then took duct tape and taped the sliding lid so it wouldn't open again unless i removed the tape.

don't know if that helps but i thought it had some relavence to your problem

Good luck! (get a cat maybe? JK!)

The very first thing I do when I realize one escaped(when possible) close the door to the room it was in.Go in the room every hour or so and flip on the lights and look around.I almost always find escaped corns at night! The main thing is Never give up looking!! Good Luck! Jeff

>>I had one "disappear" in a fake branch, as well.
I knew it couldn't get out of the tank but I still searched the room before going back to the tank for a more thorough search.
It was in the branch. Hole is blocked. I'm still an idiot.
It happens.
At least you found your snake.
