Question snake racks and tub size

LoKii Nov 17, 2008 04:53 PM

Just curious, I am looking at purchasing a snake rack and have been eye balling the AP Stereilite 1756 7 slot 32 qt rack. I am wondering if this is going to be big enough for my Brooksi "florida" Kingsnakes and other colubrids? I realize this size is probally to small for my black pines? Let me know what you think

Hi. I have some sterilite 32 qts. They are ok for smaller adult kings/corns etc, like in the 3- 1 1/2' range, but anything larger is getting a bit cramped. I would not consider them large enough for adult pines. Now of coarse, larger snakes could live in them, its just a matter of whether or not you think its enough room for them to actually move around comfortably.
I'm not sure what most of the pine/bull breeders put their largest adults in, but I would think 41 qt sterilites or cb 70 iris would be good for average adults, but even those might be too small for exceptionally large pines/bulls.
