My vet stopped working on venomous. The closest vet that works on venomous is 2 1/2 hours away. Is there anything I can do on my own or do I make the trip? Notice the dark stain in between the scales on the nose and the slightly open mouth. He doesn't wheeze when he breaths. He hasn't eaten in 2 weeks. He is active and doesn't appear weak yet.

I'd make the 2.5 hour drive no questions asked...that's your responsibility and unless a vet is going to respond to this post, we would all just be guessing or grasping at wind (and diagnosis shouldn't be made based on a picture). Could be many things, some serious, some not. The picture doesn't provide any information other than the mouth is abnormal.

I'm calling in the morning, I was hoping it was something that was easy to recognize and treat. I'm going to do what ever I can to save him. Thanks, Brian
