Temperature Guns

aannnt Nov 17, 2008 10:09 PM

Does anyone have a recommendation for a good and accurate temperature gun? I am currently using the Flukers temp/humidity monitor, and while it seems to be a lot better than those plastic stick on ones, I am still unsure about how accurate it really is.

I got the 412L from reptile basics.
I'm beyond happy with it. Had a cheap one before, never again.

We have a few at the shop. Mostly variations of teh $20 type. I would point one at the floor at it read 82 then at quart jars with water with betas in them, 5' off that floor area and it was 76?

Like the radar I got to play with at the academy I got some crazy readings. No rhymm or reason to what was spot on nor what was way off. I guess you do get what ya pay for.
