kane heat mats

i just got a kane heat mat for my tiger and norm. its the 48 by 27 one. they arent laying on it or useing it at all. my question is why? could it be to hot? what temp do they like to be kept at?

Measure the surface temperature of the mat and keep it at about 90 - 93 degrees.

Also keep in mind that unless there is a thermostat probe on top of the mat to regulate the temp, your python sitting on top of it could cause the heat to build up, depending on how much of the mat the animal covers.
