Update on dragons adopted from Cheri

Well we have had these 2 for a couple of months now. The little one (17 grams when shipped) has not grown at all. She eats ok, she is set up properly but just doesn't seem to like to grow at all. She baffles me. Guess she will be a midget. She is so small. She started out the size of my 2 month old babies. Now she is half the size of those dragons at 4 months old. She is now approaching 9-10 months old. The larger of the two girls (50 grams on arrival if memory serves me correctly) is becoming a huge character. She is up to 150 grams right now. She is eating like a beast. She eats like a beast for 2-3 weeks then takes a week off. Her new trick is when i remove the screen lid and reach in for her she jumps up at me and tries to bite my fingers. Guess she never heard the little don't bite the hand that feeds you saying. Cool little party trick. Although makes my friends think I am insane. I have a leaping lizard that tries to bite me, and I find it amusing. She plows through adult crickets like they are going out of style and loves the occasional super and her veggies. I have never seen a dragon eat crickets like she does. She will pick up 2nd and 3rd crickets before chewing the first. Most of my other dragons are patient enough that they eat one cricket at a time. This one isn't satisfied with one at a time. I think she will grow to become a large girl the way she is eating. She seems to be a late bloomer. The little one I will keep plugging away at, but I don't hold too much hope that she will grow to be a large dragon. The older one I wouldn't be suprised if she races upto 400 grams in the next 6 months she has the appetite to do it at least and has gained 100 grams pretty quickly after she put on lots of weight in Cheri's care. What a little monster she is.

The littlest one was 5 grams when it arrived here, seems healthy, just small.... it got up to 14 grams on 7/11 before shipping, but did not put on as much weight or grow as fast as the others we took in at the same time. I thought maybe it was just me as the dragon seemed jumpy around me.

The other one... THATS Awesome!!! IT was 22 grams when it arrived on 7/1/03 and went up to 47 July 11, before shipping to you... so that ones weight is just great!

The one that arrived here with her and that was pictured in the tub with it, is now 187 grams( was 34 when arrived) and has grown 3 inches so I am hopeful that she may also end up a normal size dragon now and yeah, she is a PIG too with crickets, salads, pellets, supers... any food...... like she never can get enough. I think both had coccidia for so long all they were taking in was going to that.

I would love to see a picture of that one.. this is the one that came with her now... hard to believe she weighted on 34 grams 2 months ago!

I will try to get a picture tonight. I don't think she will be the easiest to photograph. She is a spazo. She tries to eat my fingers whenever they go in her cage. It is so amusing. I come over to her cage and she crouches down to ready herself to jump at me. Yesterday I fed her salad in the morning, probably 40 adult crickets around 5PM, and then feed her a dozen super worms around 7:30PM. I can not believe the amount of food she plows through. After her dinner last night she might be up to 175 grams. Amazing. I love watching her eat she is a beast. The little one I do not hold out much hope for her growing large. She is very shy around me also. Runs away alot when I come over. Usually only will eat crickets once I leave her cage size. Think she might have gotten such a poor start that she can not overcome it. The other one I feel will become a very large girl. But anyways I will add snapping a picture of the both of them tonight (Individually of course).
