Helix Radiant Panel Discoloration

Dan_W Nov 19, 2008 10:10 AM

Hi!

I recently installed a Helix radiant heat panel in a terrarium, controlled by a Big Apple Herp Power Proportional Thermostat, and the unit functions flawlessly.

In the beginning, there was a strong odor of fiberglass resin that has since stopped, but I notice that the panel has yellowed on the heating surface. For aesthetic purposes, is there a way to fix the problem?

Thanks!

Dan

Nope, and it isn't a problem in that it does not affect perfromance. I have one running at least 5 years, yellow and all.
