BELL PASTEL?

mugencrx Nov 21, 2008 12:34 PM

Hi i was wondering if anybody could tell me the difference between a pastel and a bell pastel. I just bought a small group of ball pythons and a bell pastel is included in it, from the picture it looks the same as a nice pastel. Is there a difference? If so what is it? Thank you for your time -Matt

Bell is just the lineage or line of pastel. Alot of times you can't tell the difference in appearance of different lines but it helps to know where your animal started from.

Hope that helps

In my opinion, Bell Pastels often have a blacker pigment with much more pattern than some others. The pattern appears "tighter and more condensed" with lots of aliens mingled into the pattern.

Sorry, missed the identification of photo in last post...it is a picture of our SSNAKES line pastels breeding. It shows a decreased pattern that we are working with. In this picture we show Bell-line pastels with a much busier pattern with many aliens in it.
