AUS Press: It's a croc eat croc world .

NORTHERN TERRITORY NEWS (Darwin, Australia) 10 November 08 It's a croc eat croc world ...
Photo at URL below: Dog Eat Dog World: Trish Wright took this pic of a big croc ending up as lunch for one its rivals at Corroboree Billabong.
It's a brutal world out there and this picture shows that even the Territory's fiercest predators meet a sticky end.
Territorian Trish Wright was fishing at Corroboree when she saw this cannibal croc.
"Our first instinct was that it was a buffalo," she said.
"To our amazement, it was a dead crocodile (but) after getting closer we were in for a much bigger shock."
Another saltwater croc, which she estimated was about 5m long, had the dead reptile in its mouth.
"It was great to witness such an awesome natural event as this," she said.

While we all know that larger crocs will often eat smaller ones in the wild, this is a pretty interesting site (the prey croc was a dead, but larger animal). However, more importantly...they have linked in the story a photo gallery of other salty shots...some of which are quite gorgeous. I love the specimen on photo 38 of 43.

I work at turkey point power plant in S.Fla on american croc research, and recently we found a 2 meter croc chompin on a dead 2-2.5 meter croc in the canal system. We got pictures but I don't have them..pretty amazing site though.

It is also not the first time this has happened there!
