I am a new Saharan Uromastyx owner, and I have decided to build a larger cage for them. I was wondering if anyone knows a reason why I should not use under cabinet halogen lights for heat. They are about 2.5" in diameter and at about 5" inches from a thermometer they are about 90F. I was thinking about using 4 at one end of the cage for a basking area. Can anyone tell me why this may be a bad idea? Thank you for all of your help.
