what to do with male

from9rto1k Nov 23, 2008 09:49 PM

hes been with my female for over a month...shes def huge in the lower parts of her body and leaves that part of her body on heat..she hasnt eaten in over a month and has gotten fatter so i assume shes gravid...

my male stopped messin with her like 3 or 4 days ago..thought maybe tired and needed food...so for the fun of it i put him in with my pastel female...within 30 min hes was courting her...i put him back with the orignal female and he shows no signs of wanting to court her...does he know he did his job? should i leave him or let him go to the other female?

It's normally best to leave a male in with the female until after she ovulates. If you missed the ovualtion, then leave him in until she starts her shed cycle.

Before putting him in with another female, it's always best to offer a small meal to the male. That give him some extra energy and gives him a chance to build up his "male fluids". LOL.

If your male is "very presistant" and is rubbing his nose/face trying to get out of the females cage... Then remove him right away. Some males know when they're done and just want to find the exit. They can even injure themselves trying to get away and on to the next female.

Either way... Offer him a small meal. If he's done his job with the first female, then he deserves a nice treat.
