Sometimes I think Pyros are the coolest.

While tricolors, They usually have sweet dispositions, they are calm, their colors don't muddy/darken over the years and once they are comfortable with their cage they display well, relaxing in the open while you are in the room doing chores.Lifes simple pleasures are the best!

Thanks Tony. Means a lot coming from you. Liked the shots of your set up a little while back.

Bob.

I agree. Pyros are my favorites, but I love all tri-colors. Great set-up, btw!

(not a pyro, I know - but still a tri-color!)

Thanks. You sure have a lot of really beautiful red, white and black scales there.

Thanks, but the 2nd one's not mine. It's a little "woodini" that my friend and I flipped. We didn't keep him.

Here's a better pic of the little guy.

I agree completely, mine are always out in the light basking themselfs. Alway in the highest part of the tank, and yes, they have under the tank heaters. They love to climb.

Like having a fantastic saltwater aquarium without all the water.Very nice. I think I'm going to have to incorporate some Grapevine into their enclosures like you have to get closer to the light. ( I have uths' too) Thanks for sharing the pics

Thanks, come to think of it, most of my snakes enjoy the warmth of the lights. Depending on the size of the tank,I use the 15 and 25 watt, Sun Glo, broad spectrum daylight bulbs, by EXO-TERRA. There not so brite as other brands.

Bob, Nice setup. I was wondering if you house your pyros together, or is that just during breeding season.
Thanks,Bob

I keep some together and some seperately. As long as they get a long fine I figure they are small snakes so it's not like they are going to defecate like a couple of Brooks Kings and pollute their cage in short order and I figure with two or more together the odds are better that at least one will be out displaying nicely. I've read too many of FRs posts about them living in colonies to not have that have an effect on me LOL.
