PE-1 is fine, its what I use. Of course they have more expensive models with additional features and finer accuracy but for my needs the PE-1 is perfect. The website for pro exotics or tempgun.com had all the details about each model you need to find which one fits for you.

It's amazing how this technology has been made so affordable. When I was keeping herps in the 80's and 90's no such gizmo existed. My temp gun makes this all so much easier.
