Sounds like you're keeping them together. That's the first thing NOT to do.

I agree -- housing them together is a no-no

But feeding them together is a huge NO-NO !!!

If you didn't know this, then it also makes me wonder if you know the proper temps and humidities to keep them at, which can also be a reason for not feeding. Certainly don't handle her until you have her feeding regularly.

I think you need to read up on the care of boa constrictors. This is a good place to start http://www.redtailboas.com/care/ but it is always better to know the proper husbandry and typical troubleshooting BEFORE you buy an animal, especially when you spend that kind of money. As for the not eating (anorexia), we generally don't worry unless they lose 10% of their body weight, but without having a previous weight to go on this doesn't help you much. Surinames which are a type of BCC (Boa constrictor constrictor instead of Boa constrictor imperator) can often be finicky feeders due to their susceptibility to stress. Most of us wouldn't recommend them for a beginner just because they can be less forgiving than their BCI counterparts. Usually, various forms of stress from just the new home or improper husbandry will cause them not to eat. Certainly medical problems can cause anorexia too, but that's low on the list given the fact that she is a recent addition.

I just took them apart is that why she didnt eat?

It may be the reason she wouldn't eat.

Could be a normal winter fast. ALL my boas go off feed from October to March.
