I have a random breeding question. just one i often pondered. Why do male corns jerk when well topping the female? is this to get her "excited" lol.

I've seen this in males and females as well, though moreso in females which I take to be a response to deter males if they aren't in the mood lol

I agree, I don't know what causes it but I have observed it in my males and females.

yes they both jerk around , in a rythmic motion...it is their way of courting, they rub each other and jerk around , males will scratch the females' back with his spurs to get her excited, yes, at the same time, they are both throwing out pheramones and the smells turn each other on to breeding moreso, they jerk around, scratch, and rub each other , while he is doing the tail searching, then once he finds the right spot, they actually copulate,,,,they both will have their vets open, and he and she can tell they have the right allignment when they feel each other tounching the right spot, by temps and feel, it is smoother inside the vent obviously ,,, once copulation begins they usually stop jerking around......IF the female runs away or jerks alot to make him go away....males will bite the female in order to persuade her to stay and breed, if not persuade, they actually can muscle their way into making her breed.....(I had a female cal king actually get on top the the male and make him breed her one time , long ago)....

.....they cannot talk,,,,,all they have is touch and smells....

corns are fast breeders, yes, you just stand there and watch, they will breed every other day if you put them together.....it takes like 20 seconds to 10 minutes to start when they used to each other ,,and like 10 minutes to finish....you can see it.....it happens fast enough to actually watch....
