feeding male after lockup

JonathanPG Nov 25, 2008 01:40 PM

i was wondering if it was still ok for my male ball not eating after breeding for about a month? i know they go off feed for days weeks and months but for breeding purposes do i have to be more concerned? Should i wait till he eats then go ahead and keep putting him with the girls or if he eats or not just put them together? he is currently 1000g and he has not lost any weight since he last ate about a month ago. please reply thanks i appreciate it.

IF he eats , feed him if he doesn't don't worry....
alot of males stop or slow down ......some males will eat normally while you give him girls then stop eating when you stop breeding him....wierd....but it happens more than once....

....keep trying him every couple weeks......

We offer feed every week !
Some will eat and some dont , We offer it and if they eat great ,if thet dont we just document it and keep an eye on weight loss. Ball Pythons can go an incredibly long time before weight loss is an issue.
