crocodilians in Washington dc

Does any on know if it is illegal to own any crocodilians in Washington dc.

According to DC Code, you can't keep any animal not specifically listed in the code. And crocodilians are not listed. In DC you can have your common dog, cat, rodent, bird, non-venomous snake, fish and/or turtle. Anything else and you're breaking the law.

And in case you are thinking of moving - Maryland has banned crocodilians in the last few years. I'm not sure about Virginia's laws, having had no reason to look into them.
