HELP! BREEDING FLYING GECKOS

ellymae May 24, 2003 06:49 AM

I have kepted a wide selection of geckos as pets over the past few years but I didnt try breeding most of them because both sexes was not avaiable and there is only one exotic pet store in my town. But now I have the internet.About three months ago I got three flying geckos 2females,1male and I am trying to breed them but I am having no luck.Their cage setup is in a 15gal.extra high with plenty of plants, logs, branches from top to bottom. The only infromation I can find on breeding them just said to raise the temp. slightly and extend the daylight hours longer but it seems like there should be more to it than that because from what I have seen while watching them they dont seem to be interested in each other. Is there more I need to do? since I keep them housed together at all times? Any helpful hints anybody?

are you sure you got 2 females and one male.they couold have picked the wrong sexes wich can figure that out on your just get a good gecko or lizard book.I personally recomend tokay geckos by mceowin and zeworski.tell me if the lizards breed as I have not bred liards yet but will as soon as the reptile show in tulsa is here.you might also check if they are being fed enough as they must be fat and healthy to breed especially females.hope this helps.
