even if you could pop a 4000 gram ball it may not be acurate as large bp's have great muscle control and can hold all there junk in a 4000 gram animal should be probed by a professional

I agree but I would still like to see any tips to help me pop her I have popped well over 50 snakes I know that doesnt make me anything close to a professional, but I would just like to know. I am located in northeastern Pa. Millville, Pa 17846 to be exact can anyone possibly help me???

you cannot pop BIG balls......IF they don't want you to....or you squeeze really hard and hurt them...

.....

....put them together again and watch.......?

Larger snakes don't look any different, other than by scale, when properly everted. The problem is that it is tougher to get them to fully evert when they are larger.

Check the link for some tips and visual pics as to what exactly you are looking for.

If you'd like some extra opinions maybe you can post a picture of your pop attempt -- even if you can't get the hemipenes to evert -- they should pink up quite a bit as compared to a females glands.

Good luck!

Hey man, glad she's a female and you didn't get screwed But maybe for future reference, I would never recommend trying to pop an adult ball python... ever. Probe only. You can seriously hurt a snake that big -- they are extremely difficult to pop and if you press to hard you could injure them and then you are out of your breeder!! And that, of course, would SUCK.

I just realized I responded to a post of yours above. The guy I mentioned I got my Mojave from (Larry from Maryland Reptile Farms) sells probing kits for cheap/reasonable price. Maybe you could pick up a set this weekend at the show?? Just be super careful and have someone show you before you try it out on your own if you have never tried it yourself before (again, back to the possibly injuring them idea). Hope this helps!! Good luck!!
